Giinagay
Kerrie-Rae Ellis is the creator of Miss Mollie books. Miss Mollie books are based on a little Moodle puppy dog and her four teddy friends Silky, Sasha, Harry, and Simone - who have fun adventures at home living on the Mid North Coast of Australia on Gumbaynggirr country.
Kerrie-Rae is an Aboriginal woman, holds a BA degree in Management & Professional Studies, a Diploma in Counselling and works with children, families and community. A Paul Harris Fellow who holds a passion for creating stories for young children to encourage language and literacy development.
Kerrie-Rae holds a strong connection to culture and has included Gumbaynggirr language and has created her own style of contemporary artwork into her storytelling.

Mollie
Mollie is an adorable toy Moodle, with diamond-like eyes, long black wavey locks and a white chest with a playful personality. Mollie loves to run in the backyard and chase the Willy Wagtails. Mollie wears a bow in her hair when she goes out on outings and likes to eat ice-cream.

Teddy Friends
Silky, Sasha, Harry, and Simone live with Mollie and are her teddy friends. Mollie likes to play with her friends. They all like to go shopping with Mollie, go to the beach and like to wear tutus and dance to their favourite music.

The Coffs Coast
Mollie lives on the Coffs Coast which has the bright-yellow Big Banana an Australian icon. Coffs Coast is a stunning coastal location, with an International Marina to Muttonbird Island on the beautiful East coastline of Australia. The traditional custodians of the region are the Gumbaynggirr people.

Little Willy Wagtail
Join Miss Mollie in her backyard adventures with a regular visitor a little Willy Wagtail named Drew, who visits through the summer months. Drew is playful, cheeky and likes to chase Miss Mollie through the backyard. Miss Mollie enjoys the attention and attempts to catch Drew.

Trip to Bunnings
Mollie enjoys stopping for a sausage, meeting furry friends big and small, exploring the different sections of Bunnings before heading into her favourite aisle filled with treats and toys and onto the nursery to buy her favourite flowers.

Happy Birthday to You
Celebrate Mollie's birthday, bake a cake and open presents. Silky, Sasha, Harry, and Simone play dress up in their tutus and have a dance party. A fun story of how her teddy friends join in with Mollie to celebrate her special day.

A Very Merry Christmas
A Very Merry Christmas is filled with hope, goodwill, and Christmas cheer. Celebrate Christmas with Mollie and her teddy friends Silky, Sasha, Harry, and Simone setting up the tree, putting out milk and cookies for the reindeers, wrapping presents, dancing and enjoying a yummy lunch. Mollie, Silky, Sasha, Harry, and Simone love Christmas and want to share their experience with every little girl and boy around the world.

Coffs Coast Out and About
Mollie and her teddy friends Silky, Sasha, Harry, and Simone start their day by getting ready, pack their cossies, thongs and paddleboards to explore the Coffs Coast. They first see a colourful sunrise, an early morning Jetty dive, see the boats come into the Marina, watch the birds fly over Muttonbird Island, enjoy lunch at the Sunday markets, watch the big kids jump off the jetty, walk along the beach, watch the skydivers, paddleboard down Coffs creek, see the views from the Forest Sky Pier, watch the Treetop climbers and enjoy a banana split at the Big Banana. Come on the journey with Mollie and her teddy friends around Coffs Harbour.

Biography

Kerrie-Rae Ellis is the writer, illustrator and self-publisher of the Miss Mollie books collection. Miss Mollie books are based on a 3.5kg little Moodle a Maltese / toy poodle with her four teddy friends Silky, Sasha, Harry, and Simone who live in Australia.
A mother who works with children, young people and their families. A Paul Harris Fellow awarded during her appointment as President in Rotary International and proud human mother to Mollie a beautiful little fur girl.
Kerrie-Rae and Mollie live on the beautiful Mid North Coast of Australia called the Coffs Coast with its beaches, rainforests, hinterland villages, national parks, reserves, creeks, rivers and waterfalls within the surrounding area on Gumbaynggirr land.
When Kerrie-Rae is not working with children and their families, you can find her with Miss Mollie being creative writing her next book.
We believe that books have the power to connect children and their families, build communities and create a loving home environment. We would like to encourage young ones to read and bring families together in a fun educational activity.
